Welcome to some background information about me, my art and the idea behind the different series and pieces.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Henning from Hamburg, Germany. I take photos and I paint. It was clear to me early on that variety, the breaking of existing structures and new impulses are an important and central part of my life. After various stations in and outside of Germany, I found this supposed contrast in psychology in the economic environment. Working with people and different, varied personalities and still taking into account the clear economic rules, numbers and structures forms a contrast that represents a central balance in my daily work as an organizational developer at a large e-commerce platform
...but also in my art .
ABOUT MY ART
All my life I have been accompanied by the inner and outer conflict between structure, order and clarity on the one hand and freedom, rebellion and creative disruption on the other.
These two poles also accompany me in art. My photography is primarily characterized by clear,
geometric, supposedly lifeless lines and structures, but also impressive colours, faces and landscapes.
My paintings can also contain symmetrical, geometric structures, but are primarily characterized by abstract forms and colors that either depict urban scenarios or consciously leave their interpretation to the viewer.

My art aims to show the viewer new, different, unfamiliar perspectives and objects and to bring things to our consciousness that seem unimportant and irrelevant at first glance. It is intended to evoke emotions and cognitive dissonance, but also to calm down and create clarity in the viewer's mind in a time full of external stimuli.
